Some days there’s nothing better than a quick, healthy smoothie for lunch, breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up. Around here we love the kale-broccoli-pineapple mixture, so we decided to freeze dry it for even faster smoothies.
Just chop kale, broccoli and pineapple into bite-size pieces and place on trays. You can freeze dry all of these ingredients at once.
After freeze drying, combine kale, broccoli and pineapple in a 1:1:1 ratio, then chop by hand or in a food processor until course.
When you’re ready for your smoothie, combine 1 cup of the mixture with 1 cup of ice and 3/4 cup of milk, nut milk or yogurt in a blender. For a dose of protein, add 1/4 cup of fresh or freeze dried almonds.
